As an Alaska Native Corporation, culture and community have a powerful role in the organization of Afognak Native Corporation (Afognak).
Afognak is meeting its cultural and community responsibilities by providing benefits to its Shareholders and strengthening Ag’wanermiut “our community” through innovative Shareholder development programs and contributions to economic, cultural and social service programs.
By unifying Ag’wanermiut, Afognak develops a collective strength, and by providing benefits to its Shareholders, it empowers every Shareholder.
We have the privilege of promoting the Alutiiq Museum’s Archeological Land Stewardship Videos. These films explore the value of archaeological sites using examples for Alaska’s Kodiak Archipelago. These films were created by the Alutiiq Museum with assistance from videographer Alf Pryor and funding from the US Fish & Wildlife Service.
The links below will open a separate window with the video. All videos are hosted on Vimeo.
Afognak Native Corporation contributes to various Alaska Native organizations tasked with tribal responsibilities as well as preserving the Alutiiq Native culture and educating others about it.
